I still remember my first day at school as a little city kid, filled with excitement. My parents expected me to stay for a month, but I ended up begging them to enroll me here and it was one of the best decisions I ever made. And my parents said yes!

Before I came to New Horizons, math was something I hated. It actually caused me embarrassment. Sarah changed that. Starting with walking me through subtracting fractions all the way up to graphing sinusoids, she has been there. Whether I understood a chapter quickly, or she had to stay after class because I still didn’t get it, I knew she would be there, and I discovered that, just maybe, math could actually be pretty. I cannot thank you enough for that, Sarah.

Miss Joke worked with me to craft my love of English into something I could use. She read the classics with me until I could read them on my own, and built my confidence in grammar using the interactive and creative methods, took note of my interests and built English around them. Thank you, Miss Joke, for making me feel seen.

Now, after all the ACT and CLEP testing, I’m in college, and I’m winning!
