General Tutoring

At New Horizons Academy tutoring is available to middle and high school students both in person and virtually. Tutoring can be fully customized to the needs of the student (day, time, location, frequency and subjects). Tutoring can help a student clean up areas of difficulty, prepare for testing or strengthen a passion!  

If your child needs help, preparing for any specialized subject, we can do it!  We have helped a student prepare for, and pass, the National Registry exams to become an EMT, helped another prepare to sit a police academy entrance exams, another was prepared for his pilot’s license exams, and we have helped countless teens get through their Driver’s Educational booklets, we’ve become quite versatile! 

We can tutor students in a variety of subjects including but not limited to:

  • Math: Algebra, Geometry Trigonometry, Calculus
  • English: Grammar, Literature & Composition
  • Science: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Electronics, Microbiology, Earth Sciences, Astronomy
  • US & World History
  • US & World Geography
  • Civics (includes Religion/Cultural Studies, Government, Political Science, Economics)
  • Foreign Language: German, French.
  • Driver’s Ed
